UND Aerospace Officials Called Into Question, Again

Are Certain UND Aerospace Officials Liars Like Judy DeMers Or Do They Simply Have Selective Memories?

On September 27, 2001, the Dakota Student published an article entitled "UND Planes Forced To Land". The article states "there have been a number of incidents recently involving UND Aerospace training flights. During the month of September, there were three emergency landings by UND planes".  The article ends stating "According to [Al] Palmer and Director of Safety Dana Seaworth, such frequent occurrences are extremely rare. In the general aviation industry there are six accidents for every 100,000 flight hours., while in the U.S. this number is down to four. UND held out at zero in 1998 and 1999, and had only 2 in the year 2000.  However, FAA statistics reveal UND had 1 mishap in 1998, 7 in 1999 & 6 in 2000. So we ask, are these UND officials liars like Judy DeMers or do they simply  have selective memories?
