Despite monetary difficulties and the need for a tax initiative to raise funds because of the University's serious financial state, several top UND administrators are scheduled to share $1.3 million in pay raises later this fall.

We note, these funds will do nothing for UND's instructors, researchers, staff, nor will these funds be utilized to prop-up declining educational programs.  These funds are earmarked for the  bureaucrats whose selfish, parochialism caused UND's rapidly declining academic status.

The Board of Higher Education will review the increases next week when it looks at revises budgets. Money for raises comes mostly from higher-than-anticipated state tax collections-too bad those funds are not directed to the areas where they are most needed---to maintain academic quality.
