UND President Kendall Baker and his staff head into the 1995-96 academic year with a string of administrative changes:

Three new deans have been appointed: David Wilson, School of Medicine; John Ettling, College of Arts and Sciences; and Elizabeth Nichols, College of Nursing.

Sue Schmitt will be associate vice president for academic affairs and will continue as dean of the College for Human Resources Development in its last year of a transition. HRD departments are moving to other divisions.

Dean Schieve will be director of institutional analyis.

Alice Poehls is director of admissions and records and university registrar.

David Marshall is new director of international programs.

New department chairs include Fred Schneider, anthropology; Carl Barrentine, humanities; Andre Lebugle, languages; Kent Lovelace, aviation; Sara Hanhan, early childhood education; Robert King, elementary education; Donald Moen, mechanical engineering, and Ron Brinkert, health, physical education and recreation.

Cathy Buyarski will be director of student academic services.

Rob Karolin is director of enrollment services.

Jeffrey Nygaard is sports information director.

John Burbank is director of the Interactive Video Network (IVN).

Tony Stukel is director of ODIN, the computerized library filing system.

Kathy Smart will be director of the Center for Instructional and Learning Technologies, a three-quarter time post.

Linda Romuld has been named director of purchasing for the campus.

Mary Simle, a 25-year veteran of Fargo public schools, will be new director of teacher field experiences for the Center for Teaching and Learning.
